Teenagers around the world enjoy this day. Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31, and Halloween 2020 will occur on Saturday, October 31, but will for sure be different than any other Halloween…

I wish to list some fantastic teenager Halloween costumes for you but first Did you know that about Halloween?

  • Why are the traditional colors of Halloween black and orange? Orange comes from the fall harvest and black represents death.
  • What did people used in old times when there were no costumes? wear animal skins as costumes.
  • In the year 2012, 41.1 million children between the ages of 5 and 14 went out into the streets for trick or treat in their best costumes. It almost tripled in 2014.
  • In America, parents spend around 1 billion dollars on their kids’ Halloween costumes.
  •  Originally Jack-o-lanterns were carved from turnips and potatoes.
  • Halloween is the sixth most popular card-giving holiday. About 20 million Halloween cards are sent each year.
  • Around 40% of Americans dress up in a costume on Halloween. Around 72% hand out candy.
  • Snickers chocolate bars are considered to be the number one favorite Halloween candy.
  • Most loved activity for children to celebrate the day is by going trick-or-treating at night. They go from door to door saying “Trick or treat”. The person at the door usually gives them some candy.
  • Other Halloween activities include costume parties, parades, bonfires, haunted houses, and carving jack-o-lanterns from pumpkins.

The benefits for kids of celebrating Halloween:

  • It teaches them social skills: a lot of children can be a little shy in social situations. Halloween is a fantastic opportunity to push them outside of their comfort zones. The costumes and candy will allow bashful kids to connect with friends and neighbors. For introverted kids, Halloween activities might be particularly beneficial.
  • It teaches them good manners:  They’re going to get plenty of practice saying please and thank you when they stop for treats at homes.
  • It teaches them about individuality; Halloween is, after all, a wonderful way to become their favorite character in cartoons or a famous hero, listen to their dream or wish and become it for a night…
  • It teaches them to be creative; your children will use their imaginations to come up with brilliant ideas for costumes. They can even make homemade costumes with a little support, to put their artistic talents to use!
